Jeff Gaspin is flying in an NBC Universal corporate jet from New York to Los Angeles now and is telling other passengers that a report which leaves the company "is not accurate." As we have been saying all along, there are lots of moving parts of this NBCU organizational restructuring, and a lot has not been clarified yet. Gaspin, which is NBC Universal Television Group President / COO, falls into that category. We have learned that there has been a "final conversation" with Comcast about his future yet. And the fact is that, as of today, its future undecided. "It may prove to be true. And he's preparing for it. But it is not true right now," an insider just told us.
