The AFC and NFC Championship games took place a short time ago. The New York Giants were the last team to qualify for the playoffs but they saw off the San Francisco 49ers to claim the NFC championship and qualify for Super Bowl 46. The first game of the day was between The New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. Pre-game the Patriots were ranked favorites to win the Super Bowl 2012 outright and Baltimore ranked massive outsiders. The odds were unjustified and Baltimore were hard done by, dropping what would have been a last minute touch down to win the game. Followed by a missed field goal which would have taken the game to overtime.
